The Appraisal Process

The Appraisal Process

  • Initial Consultation:
Discuss the client’s needs and requirements for the appraisal.
  • Engagement Letter:
Clients receive an Engagement Letter outlining the scope of work, special instructions, and terms.

No work or billing will commence until the signed Engagement Letter is received.
  • Preparation:
For On-Site Inspections: Clients provide necessary paperwork and a point of contact.

For Desktop Appraisals: Clients provide required documentation and relevant details.
  • On-Site Inspection (if applicable):
Conduct a thorough inspection of the equipment, taking necessary notes and photographs.
  • Research and Analysis:
Perform detailed research and market analysis to determine accurate values.
  • Final Report:
Incorporate any feedback from the client and finalize the appraisal report.

Deliver the final report, including detailed conditions, assumptions, and a comprehensive valuation summary.

Fee Statement:
Note: The fees charged for all appraisal services are NOT based on a percentage of the reported values. They are based on the amount of research involved, plus any travel or necessary expenses. A 4-hour minimum charge applies.
